Our adult religious education program, RCIA, will begin on Tuesday night, January 8th, from 7pm—8pm @
St. Theresa Hall.  Please call our Church office to register if you are interested in considering the possibility
of becoming a Catholic or if you are a baptized Catholic who would like to receive the Sacraments of First
Communion and/or Confirmation.  Deacon Chris Doumit will teach six classes on Jan. 8, Jan. 22, Feb. 5,
Feb. 19, Mar. 4, and Mar. 18.  These classes are also open to anyone who would like to learn more about
his/her Catholic faith.

Father Paul is out on vacation to Nigeria from November 27th—December 27th.  He called to say that he
arrived safely and tells everyone at Our Lady of Victory and St. Joseph’s “hello”!

It you are getting new towels for Christmas, please consider donating your old towels to our St. Joseph
Catholic Daughters, who make bibs for residents of local nursing homes.  Call Gladys Boutte @ 229-4545
or bring your old towels to our Church office.

Our Catholic Daughters Christmas party will be held on Saturday, December 15th, @ St. Theresa Hall.

Our Knights of Columbus will host a Blood Drive on Sunday, December 16th,
from 8am—11:30am, at St. Theresa Hall.

Loreauville native, Fr. Darren Eldridge, will conduct a Lenten Day of Recollection on Tuesday, February
12th, at St. Theresa Hall.  The Day of Recollection will be from 9am—12noon.  For more information

If you have cold or flu symptoms, parishioners are asked to please not receive from the Sacred Cup until
you are feeling better; that way, we don’t get other parishioners sick.

Our Baptismal Seminar is held on the 2nd Monday of each month @ St. Theresa Hall. Parents &
Godparents must attend this class before the Baptism of their baby.  The next class is Monday, December
10th, @ 7pm.  Please call our Church office to register.

The pilgrim statues of Our Lady of Fatima will be at the homes of the Marcus & Sherry Hebert family and
the Fran & Joel Dugas family.  If you would like one of the pilgrim statues to visit your home call Fran @

Our Sanctuary Lamp this week burns in loving memory of Leed and Mabel Gondron; Viator & Dugas fly’s &
Greg Romero.

The Vocations Chalice will be in the home of the Pliny Walet family this week.

The 2008 offertory envelope boxes can be picked up in the lobby of Church
this weekend.  Thanks, envelope users, for your continued generous support
of our Church!  If you are not currently an envelope user and you would like to

The Second Collection at this weekend’s Masses will be for the Retirement Fund for Religious Priests,
Brothers, and Sisters.  Thanks for your generosity!

Our St. Joseph’s Eucharistic Adoration Chapel is in need of prayer partners to spend time with our Lord

There will be a benefit barbeque dinner for cancer patient Mary Denise Zacharie on this Sunday,
December 9th, at the Our Lady of Victory Life Center from 10am—1pm.  Donations are $5 per plate.

We are in need of lots of parishioners to help decorate our Church
for Christmas!  We will begin decorating on Sunday, Dec. 23rd, @ 12:30pm.  
We need help carrying in the decorations, untangling lights, setting up
the nativity scene, setting up trees, etc.  Any amount of your time would
be greatly appreciated!

The Pope John Paul II Academy will host a Home on the Range supper, a Draw-Down raffle, and a silent
auction fundraiser on Saturday, January 26th, from 5—10pm at Fezzo’s reception hall in Scott.  Each $50
ticket buys one chance at prize money, musical entertainment, supper for one, and participation in the

St. Theresa Hall renovation update: We now have brand new central heating & cooling in the large main
area of our hall.   The workmen are now installing the necessary duct work and electrical wiring to heat
and cool our catechism classrooms.  Thanks everyone!
