Seminarian Clinton Sensat will offer the second of a four-session
teaching series on prayer @ St. Theresa Hall on Wednesday,
June 27th, from 6:30pm—8pm. (The remaining sessions will be
held on July 11th and July 18th). Please plan to join us as we
strive to learn more about developing a deeper relationship with
our Lord!
The Office of Vocations, along with the Community of Jesus Crucified, is sponsoring a Women’s
Vocation Retreat on August 3—5th. This is a silent retreat for women age 18 and older who are
open to God’s invitation to serve as a religious sister. The retreat will be held at the Our Lady of
Sorrows Retreat Center in St. Martinville beginning at 7pm on Friday and concluding at 3:30pm on
Sunday afternoon. This retreat is free of charge. Interested women are asked to register through
the Diocese of Lafayette Vocations Office (261-5690).
Our next Mandatory Diocesan Safe Environment for Children Continuing Education Seminars will be
offered on August 25th & November 10th @ St. Theresa Hall @ 10am. Parishioners whose ministry
is exercised in the presence of young people are required to attend the initial two hour training
session and, after that, are required to attend a one hour continuing education seminar every year.
Adoration outside Holy Mass prolongs and intensifies what has taken place in the Liturgical celebration
and makes a true and profound reception of Christ possible. I warmly recommend, to Pastors and to
all the faithful, the practice of Eucharistic adoration.

Our Baptismal Seminar is held on the 2nd Monday of each month at the
Our Lady of Victory Life Center. Parents & Godparents must attend this
class before the Baptism of their baby. The next class is scheduled for

Lafayette Diocesan Pastoral Council—which recommends policies to our Bishop. Way to go Maxine!

The following graves in the St. Joseph Cemetery (Loreauville, Louisiana) have been declared unfit for
human burial and are due care by repair, renovation and/or reconstruction. If no legal claimant
comes forward by August 1, 2007 with the intention to assume all responsibility which ownership
implies, St. Joseph Catholic Church will presume the space(s) abandoned and will claim ownership of
listed spaces and proceed accordingly.
Our second collection next weekend will be for the St. Joseph’s Building & Maintenance Fund, which
stays here in our Parish.
