Our R.C.I.A. Program is an adult educational program for adults who wish to join our
Catholic Church or for baptized Catholics who wish to receive the Sacraments of First
Communion and/or Confirmation. The seven Thursday night classes taught by
Deacon Chris Doumit started on January 11th @ 7pm. For more information or to
sign up, please call our Church Office @ 229-4254 as soon as possible.
Our St. Joseph’s Eucharistic Adoration Chapel is currently in need of prayer partners
to spend time with our Lord Jesus Christ. Please call Karen Breaux @ 229-6440 or
Brenda Berard @ 229-4564 for more information.
A Day of Recollection will be offered on February 22nd @ St. Edmond Church in
Lafayette. Fr. Michael Russo of Franklin will be the retreat master. Registration is
from 8:15am to 9am at the St. Edmond Family Center. A Rosary will begin the
retreat at 9am in Church. In addition to the talks, there will be Mass, Benediction, and
the Way of the Cross. Tickets are $8 which includes lunch. For more information,

The following graves in the St. Joseph Cemetery (Loreauville, Louisiana) have been
declared unfit for human burial and are due care by repair, renovation, or
reconstruction. If no legal claimant comes forward by August 1, 2007 with the
intention to assume all responsibility which ownership implies, St. Joseph Catholic
Church will presume the spaces to be abandoned and will claim ownership of listed
spaces and proceed accordingly.
Our Baptismal Seminar is held on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Our Lady of
Victory Life Center. Parents & Godparents must attend this class before the Baptism
of their baby. The next class is scheduled for Monday, February 12th, @ 6:30pm.

St. Edward Catholic Elementary School, founded in 1918 by Saint Katharine Drexel,
will hold open registration for the 2007-2008 school years on Monday, Feb. 12th,
from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. St. Edward’s serves grades Pre-K through 3rd in the New
Iberia community.
The Iberia Parish School Board is offering parenting classes to interested parents. For

Loreauville Elementary School will hold a barbeque fundraiser dinner from 10am -
1pm this Sunday (January 28th) at the school. Let’s support our local schools!
The pilgrim statues of Our Lady of Fatima will be at the
homes of Marcus & Sherry Hebert & family and Helen &
Curtis Toffier family. If you would like one of the pilgrim

The Lafayette Diocesan Office of Family Life Ministry is again sponsoring the Marriage
Anniversary Celebration to honor couples who have been married 25, 40, 50, 60 or
more years. Only the above mentioned years will be honored. The celebration will be
held on Sunday, February 22nd, @ 2pm at Our Queen of Angels Church in
Opelousas. Couples who wish to be honored must register no later than Wednesday,
January 31st. Registrations will not be accepted at the door prior to the celebration.

Vesper Prayers will be prayed on the first Sunday of each month @ 5pm @ St.
