Our R.C.I.A. Program is an adult educational program for adults who wish to join our Catholic Church
or for baptized Catholics who wish to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and/or Confirmation.  The seven Thursday night
classes will be taught by Deacon Chris Doumit and will begin on January 11th @ 7pm.  For more information or to sign up, please

Our Baptismal Seminar is held on the 2nd Monday of each month at the Our Lady of Victory Life Center.  Parents & Godparents
must attend this class before the Baptism of their baby.  The next class is scheduled for Monday, January 15th, @ 6:30pm.  Note
the date change.

St. Edward School founded in 1918 by St. Katharine Drexel will hold open registration for 2007/2008
on Monday, Feb. 12 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.  St. Edward School proudly serving grades PRE-K through 3rd in the New Iberia
community.  Honored to continue the work of St. Katharine Drexel that all are One in Christ.  Note admissions policy change
effective 2008-2009 for sibling registration.  Siblings of current SES students or former SES students (who completed the third
grade at St. Edward School) will only receive priority in PRE-K.  If not registering for PRE-K, siblings will be subject to first come,
first served placement during Open Registration.

The pilgrim statues of Our Lady of Fatima will be at the homes of Marcus & Sherry Hebert & family

Our Sanctuary Lamp this week burns in memory of deceased members of the Catholic Daughters and Altar Society.

On Tuesday, January 23rd, the Office of Vocations will hold a Vocations Supper for Young Women at 6:30pm
at the residence of Bishop Jarrell.  FMI contact our Church Office.

Today we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany and Monday, the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord.  
This week, January 8-12, is National Vocation Awareness Week, a special time in which the Church prays for the renewal and
strengthening of vocations with dedicated people to serve as priests, deacons, brothers, and sisters.

The next Marriage Encounter Weekend is scheduled for January 26-28th, at the Tracy Retreat Center

and are due care by repair, renovation and/or reconstruction.  
If no legal claimant comes forward by August 1, 2007, with the intention to assume all responsibility which ownership implies, St.
Joseph Catholic Church 229-4254, will presume the space(s) abandoned and will claim ownership of listed spaces and proceed
accordingly.
